Valley's STARS shine at U-19
National Championship
Ranvir Kumar played in the U-19 team primarily as their
strike/opening bowler and a middle order batsman. Ranveer made match
winning contributions (highlight being a 5 wicket haul in the FINALS!!)
in all the games in the U-19 National Championship held last weekend. A truly
outstanding overall performance by this youngster.
Happy Kumar Ranveer's brother and fellow Valley'ian, an equally
talented bowler, was also shortlisted in the 16-member U-19 NW team.
Ganesh Sanap (Secretary, NCCA and U-19 Manager) has dedicated tremendous
amount of time and effort in putting the U-19 team together, motivating
and mentoring them in every step and organizing all their logistics for
practice, travel etc.

A
Terrible Tragedy
Fardin Qayyumi met with a fatal accident and passed away on Saturday
(04/15/2006). At 15 years, he was one of the most gifted young cricketers
in NCCA, definitely a star in the making. He started playing for Valley
last year and did a brilliant job with the ball. Not that he lacked
batting talent. He was Valley's opener last year and was to definitely
play a decisive role in Valley's fortunes this year too. A very inspired young
lad who was chosen to represent NCCA last year in the Raisinland Cup.
OUR DEEPEST CONDOLENCES TO THE BEREAVED FAMILY
